Architecture enthusiasts with a penchant for fine dining should take a closer look at Hotel 1280 Die Krone in Geislingen, north of Lake Constance.

The centuries-old building complex combines historical flair with discreetly staged, modern architectural elements. And it offers – both in the hotel itself and in the immediate vicinity – two upscale restaurants that are worth the trip alone. This is also the opinion of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, which recently made its way there and reported in detail in its hotel tips section.
