Do you love the sea, the sound of the waves and the wind, and the screaming gulls? Then you might like the cottage Måsens Havsbad (seaside resort of gulls) in Lerkil on the Swedish West coast. The house on a headland of the small fishing village and is surrounded by water on three sides. The cottage used to serve as an accommodation for guests of the former adjacent restaurant, today it is a charming private holiday home in the typical Scandinavian style of the designers Detlef and Ulrike Rahe: inside lots of white washed wood, outside pure matt black and white corners and edges, the decor simple, but practical and cozy. When the wind blows around the house, you can warm up in front of the Swedish stove or in the small sauna. In summer you can enjoy the view of the wide sea – until well into the bright nights. The house stands on a large cliff property, which reaches to the water and the large public bathing jetty. A kiosk, a simple restaurant and the yacht and fishing harbor are just a few steps away.
