A tailor shop at the village centre of Schoppernau in Bregenzerwald has been transformed into a holiday home that skillfully combines yesterday and today. The traditional ambience of the house with its old wooden walls has been broken up with a new, modern interior design. The kitchen and the dining room are furnished and decorated in a simple, minimalist style. The enlarged former shop window is now the kitchen window. The floors are made of polished screed – oriental carpets form a deliberately placed contrast. The new, straight-lined bench fits subtly into the ambience of this room with an ornate moulding. With its five double bedrooms, the house offers relaxing holidays with spectacular views for up to 10 people. The panoramic mountain scenery can even be enjoyed from the bed or from the bathtub.
