Strandlust

The Strandlust holiday home is situated near the unique dune landscape of the island of Amrum off Germany’s North Sea coast. Each half of this semi-detached house contains a 100 square metre apartment on the upper floor, which extends through the attic up to a sleeping gallery beneath the pitched roof. In addition, there is a 30 square meter apartment on the ground floor, which may be booked as an optional extension to the main apartment.

Built on the island’s hilly terrain, each of the larger apartments offers direct access to the terrace and the garden from their living room. Meanwhile, the cooking and dining area looks out onto a large balcony, and there is even a balcony in the attic. Large panoramic windows allow plenty of light into the rooms, which feature simple, modern furniture and selected design pieces. Works of art set further colourful contrasts and lend each apartment an individual touch.

What to do

The sandy beach of Wittduen with an adventure playground as well as the beach promenade are within easy walking distance. Walks and bike tours to the lighthouse, to the harbour on the tideland side, and to several island villages. The ferry terminal and the centre of Wittdün with shops, cafés and restaurants are nearby. The bus stop is 100 metres from the house. Bicycle rentals are available around the corner, and the Amrumer Badeland (a seawater wave pool with a sauna/spa area) can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
