The beaches of the North Frisian island Amrum are among the widest in Europe. The „Dünenhaus“ (dune house) is located near one of these beaches on the south of the island. The architecture of the detached house is modern and straightforward, while the clinker facade fits in well with the North Frisian countryside. Simple elegance paired with function and comfort was the guiding principle in the planning of the house. The bright open rooms are furnished with modern design classics, as well as furniture and paintings designed by the architect and his wife. The predominant colour is white, only the childrens’ rooms are different. These are designed like a colourful painting: in house “eins” in the style of Rietveld, and in house “zwo” in Bauhaus colours.
The houses are each 100 sqm in size. They have a spacious living hall with gallery and three bedrooms (house one) or two bedrooms and a study (house two). Each house offers a wind-protected terrace with a view of the dune landscape.
What to do
The sandy beach of Wittdün with adventure playground and beach promenade is only a few meters from the house. Walks and bike rides to the lighthouse, to the harbor and to the island villages. The ferry dock and the center of Wittdün with shops, cafes and restaurants are nearby. The bus stop is 100 meters from the house. Bicycle rental around the corner, the Badeland (sea water wave pool with sauna area and SPA area) can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Das Dünenhaus auf Amrum ist ein Ferienhaus-Traum par excellence. Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren hierher, erst ohne Kinder, nun zu viert und es ist jedes Mal das Gefühl nach Hause zu kommen. Der schönste Strandtag am nahegelegenen Badestrand in Süddorf oder im nur 5 Minuten entfernten Insel-Schwimmbad mit Wellenbad schließt mit dem Aufenthalt in diesen wunderbaren Räumen ab. Das Haus ist eingebettet in die charakteristische Natur einer Nordseeinsel — ein echtes Dünenhaus mit Weitblick gen Horizont. Jedes der großformatigen Fenster eröffnet einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Landschaft. Sonnenaufgänge und Sonnenuntergänge kann man hier draußen auf der Terrasse und drinnen auf dem Sofa sowie am Esstisch entspannt genießen.
Vielen Dank für dieses wunderbare, bis ins Detail durchdachte Haus und die ausgezeichnete Ausstattung mit Designklassikern sowie der zeitgenössischen Kunst, die die Wände bespielt.

Wir waren ganz begeistert von diesem wunderbaren Haus und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Alle ist so durchdacht und durch die offene Gestaltung entsteht ein sehr angenehmes Nebeneinander von Zusammensein und Sich-zurückziehen-können. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Vielen Dank liebe Familie Bruns, dass wir im traumhaften Haus 1 zu Gast sein durften! Es ist wunderbar, wie dieses Haus die wechselnden Lichtstimmungen der Insel feiert! Zu Recht eine Auszeichnung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Auch über die perfekt ausgestattete Küche haben wir uns sehr gefreut…das erste Ferienhaus in dem sogar auch die Messer alle scharf sind. Einfach rundum perfekt!

nun schon das dritte Mal
Hier hat offenbar jemand von der Salatgabel bis zum Schlafzimmerschrank, von den Windfenstern bis zu den Treppenstufen jeden Gedanken klar und stilsicher zu Ende gedacht.
Und in der Nähe scheint es nun einen Neubau aus der selben Feder zu geben…?!

Ein grandioses Haus !
Wir waren eine Woche dort und das Haus ist wirklich schön, bemerkenswert durchdacht und durchgeplant. Die Lage, direkt am Strand ist super.
Fazit: Sehr zu empfehlen.
Ein großes Kompliment für diese gekonnt und liebevoll gestaltete Ferienhaus-Kompostion in der Dünenlandschaft.
