Restrained forms, subtle play of shadows: The beachhouse u magazinu in north-eastern Corsica allows summer to take the leading role.
The restoration of the former family beach shop – which gives the villa its name – was intended to revitalise this evocative place with modern architecture, without losing its soul. So today, on the ground floor, where there was once busy social interaction at the shop counter, there is now the kitchen, which still invites all guests to come together. Around the kitchen three double bedrooms. All of them furnished with simple, Mediterranean furniture, combined with colourful carpets and textiles. On the upper floor, a spacious living room opens up as the centre of the house, with access to the roof terrace and a panoramic view of the sea. In the distance, you can even make out the island of Montecristo, steeped in history.
The fact that life in the natural Haute-Corse takes place mainly outdoors is evident on the spacious terrace, which is surrounded by a double patio and gives the holiday home its own character. Not only does it offer a variety of shady retreats and maximum privacy by the pool, but also very special views of the sea and the landscape of the island. A summer setting to unwind in and explore.
