In the middle of an oak forest, yet with a wide view up to Lake Trasimeno, Villa G. is situated on a mountainside near the medieval town of Preggio. The Danish owners – the interior design journalist Lise Septimius Krogh and the photographer Kristian Septimius Krogh – have created a holiday home that combines sustainable building solutions with Scandinavian coolness and Italian elegance. Nothing is overdesignedbut envinces a light touch and a sure sense for balancing things chosen and brought together.
From the outside, the house seems relatively unspectacular. Inside, surprises await white rooms of enormous height and great expanses of glass. White ceiling beams match the Italian ceramic tiles. The villa keeps to whtite and greys, accentuated hery and there by some color accents. Large windows bring nature indoors: The living room features two glass walls with large sliding doors and can be transformed into a roofed terrace. The central kitchen and dining area with a ceiling height of six meters is light and airy. Villa G. has four bedrooms and can accommodate 8 people.
The garden is part of the forest and the many trees provide welcome shade in the hot summers. Also the saltwater pool which is located on top of the plot behind the house offers welcome refreshment. With its dark green floor it merges with the landscape and is reminiscent of a forest lake.

Why we like this house
The house has a special, very personal interior design with design classics, antique furniture and self-designed pieces such as the chandeliers with old PH 5 lamps or the tables, benches and lounge sofas made of timber in minimalist-rustic design.
This house is great for
Families, holidays with friends

3 summers, 2 families 1 house.
Villa G. As simple as it sounds, as beautiful as it says.
4 adults – 4 teenagers to start with.
The teenagers became older and young women who prioritized coming from other holidays to the 'house' in Umbria, as we call it.
The young get older, we adults don't, for now the beautiful place stands still with peace, views and a well-equipped and well-furnished house.
A house perfect for practitioners and aestheticians alike.
On foot for morning coffee in Preggio or by car to the nearby towns with wonderful authentic restaurants in the area, it is one of the most beautiful places we have visited in Italy.
We are looking forward to the 4th summer. Tina V
My family and I spent a wonderful week in VillaG. The close connection to nature, with the amazing views overlooking the rolling mountains and the Trasimeno lake, will stay with us all for a long time. The house is modern and creative decorated, with everything we needed. And we loved the good beds.
We have had the pleasure of having vacation here on several occasions.
The house is beautiful and discreet located on top of a mountain with beautiful views to the small town of Preggio and the Lake Trassimeno. The house itself is an experience in itself. Tastefully decorated with a touch of vintage. Beautiful rooms and good atmosphere. Pool area is quite outstanding with unique views.
If you want a holiday in peace and quiet away from tourists, and if you want a piece of the authentic Italy. Our best recommendations.
We have now stayed twice at
Villa G,together with some very good friends.Even though,we sometimes were a lot of people, the construction ot the house, the huge bedrooms and modern bathrooms made it possible to maintain the privacy, which is necessary when you are two families.Sitting on the terrace or by the pool, overlooking the fantastic view towards Lago Trasimeno or the small village of Preggio, you get astonished and breathtaken about allways beeing able to find something new and beautiful, nearby or in the horizon!!
We really love this spot on earth!
Hope to be back soon
To live in this beautiful house, was for me, an experience I will never forget. Everything is aesthetic inside and outside. Sitting on the terrace is like being in Heaven. I will for definitely come back to this house.
