Since 1775, the Pfarrhof (vicarage) in Eastern Styria has always been a place that connects people. Freshly renovated, re-imagined and lovingly furnished, the baroque monument draws a bridge between yesterday and today and invites its guests for a holiday, to meet, celebrate and enjoy nature.
Anyone looking for the Pfarrhof will quickly find it. It is located right next to the pilgrimage church of Maria Lebing in idyllic Hartberg. A historical connection that is reflected in many a splendid detail. From the front, the stuccoed, window-filled façade is clear and uncluttered; to the rear, the L-shaped building opens up to a festive courtyard with arcades, a terrace and a spacious garden.
With its five individually designed rooms and one apartment, the Pfarrhof is suitable for individual holidays as well as for celebrations, family reunions, a trip with friends or workshops. Each room has its own characteristic details and tells its own little story within the big one: In the room “Franz”, for example, you can see the historical ceiling painting and from the window get a glance of the traditional, the owner’s timber manufacture founded by his grandfather; in the “Weinberg”, baroque old building flair meets 60s furniture; the “Apfelblüte” is light and bright and is dressed in a lot of wood; the small “Vogelnest” is as cosy as its name suggests; and in “Maria Lebing”, not only the church comes into view, but also the beautiful stucco ceiling. In the north-western part of the vicarage there is also a small apartment called “Obstgarten” – with two rooms, a historic wooden ceiling, an original tiled stove and selected unique pieces. All the living units combine the new with vintage furniture and artefacts that the owners have collected and arranged over the years.
On the ground floor, guests have access to a shared kitchen for self-catering, a dining room, a large living room and a parlour. Complemented by a workshop with cross vaults and the spacious outdoor area. For celebrating, brainstorming and just being together.

Owner
Eva and Oskar Beer love to preserve the old and create something new from it. The beautiful vicarage is not only in the immediate vicinity of the family business, but has also been on their minds for a long time. When it came up for sale in 2019, the couple set themselves the goal of realising what is important to them: a place that connects people, where one can live and enjoy culture.
