Natural diversity. The Fuchsegg Eco Lodge is sur­rounded by meadows, forests and moun­tains. A mul­ti­faceted place that blends the advan­tages of a hotel with the imme­diate pro­ximity to nature. The focus on sus­taina­bility and regio­nality is reflected in the archi­tecture, which recalls the Vor­arlberg tra­dition of timber con­s­truction and craft­smanship. The simple, straight-lined struc­tures of the buil­dings were designed in the style of the “Vorsäß” houses, typical of the Bre­gen­zerwald, which merge clearly and gently into the land­scape.

Spread over 9,000 square metres and three houses, there are 24 ver­satile living units that create a space for all gene­ra­tions to spend time tog­ether and offer the right accom­mo­dation for every taste and requi­rement — be it family, couples, groups of friends or retreats. In addition, there is a sauna house with outdoor pool, a guest house fea­turing a library, lounge and yoga rooms, as well as the Tenn, a barn with e‑bike rental and child­ren’s play area. A weather-pro­tected con­nection between the six houses was inten­tio­nally avoided, because nature and its seasons are meant to be expe­ri­enced each time anew when swit­ching houses.

Guests can choose from five dif­ferent room types: From the double rooms to the ground-level lofts, some of which feature a fire­place and impressive room height, to the lodges and spa­cious flux chalets, which are par­ti­cu­larly sui­table for a family getaway. And those looking for even more space will find enough room in the apart­ments sleeping four to eight adults.

Each accom­mo­dation has been designed in a way that allows both retreat and con­vi­viality. All units are bathed in light and feature fur­nis­hings made in the region. A recurring eye-catcher is the colour concept, which ori­gi­nates from the local blueberry — a childhood memory of the owner, who grew up amidst the forests of Schet­teregg. A pleasant con­trast to the silver fir wood and an invi­tation to dis­cover the beauties of nature in person.

Good starting point for outdoor adventures in the Bregenzerwald and Dreiländereck. Skiing (the lodge is located directly at the chairlift of a small skiing area), snowshoeing, winter hiking, hiking, biking, in-house e-bike rental, guided herbal hikes and other tours, wellness in the sauna house, swimming in the year-round heated outdoor pool, library for reading, yoga platform at the edge of the forest, rooms for fitness, excursions to Lake Constance, discovering the cultural landscape of the Bregenzerwald and the pleasurable art of living in Vorarlberg.
