A piece of France in the Palatinate: This listed manor house Barthélemy has an eventful past. It was built as a private residence in 1619, burned down in 1689, and was rebuilt in the 18th Century. The house is named after Isaac Barthélemy, who purchased the property in 1802 as a summer residence. The French influence can still be felt today, as the owners made a dream come true by turning the mansion into a Maison d`hôtes like in the Provence.
The 3500 square meter property was restored two years ago and now includes – in addition to the owners´ private residence – a B & B with three guest rooms/suites as well as three apartments in the old coach house. Old beams, stucco ceilings, sandstone floors, oak boards and antique furniture were stylishly combined with contemporary elements.
Enjoy the French-Palatinate way of life: wake up to a delicious breakfast, dine at a table d’hôtes, make friends at a wine evening, or just relax in the private baroque garden with winding paths and a wide view over the Rhine valley.

Owner
Rosemarie and Clemens' dream to open their own guesthouse grew and evolved as they travelled themselves over many years. They didn't envision it as a classic hotel, but rather as a house with a stylish and private atmosphere; a place where you can meet and get to know nice people. In 2009, the couple (previously a pharmacist and management consultant, respectively) found their dream property in the south of Germany's Palatinate region, and extensively restored the 17th century property. Today, the two welcome their guests as they have always dreamed of: "We love this place and the warmth of the region's way of life. It is a pleasure to experience and share Barthélemy with our guests."
