Strata in the South Tyrolean Dolomites is a fantastic examples of innovative alpine architecture that brings design into perfect harmony with nature. The Strata wing, which is an extension to the Residence Königswarte, blends in harmoniously with the surrounding topography: thin horizontal slats of larch wood wind themselves around the house like the layers of ancient rock massifs. The building has a glass façade that opens out to the south side with beautiful views of the mountains. The suites have been furnished with local materials such as loden, leather, larch wood and dolomite stone
Strata is connected underground to the main house next door. Hotel Rainer, has every comfort on offer – from sophisticated half board accommodation options through to an extensive wellness centre and child care offers available throughout the year. The Rainers think of themselves as a “family for families” where the wellbeing of their guests, both young and old, always comes first.
