UMAMMA – The Relaxing Catalogue: A guided Meditation
The first part of our new "Insights" section is deeply meditative. Host and designer Giovanni Settesoldi invites us to close our eyes and activate our imagination to explore spaces and their atmosphere.

UMAMMA — The unexpected Place — is a surprising holiday venue in Tuscany, designed for just one couple. Its contemporary, stunning setting in the peaceful little town of San Miniato replete with unforgettable landscapes, history and art and a slow pace of life.
With his podcast project “The Relaxing Catalogue” owner Giovanni Settesoldi wanted to make his future guests perceive in an unconventional way that UMAMMA is a place where they can deeply relax and recharge their batteries in a truly unexpected environment.
“The idea of the Relaxing catalogue is very simple, I was looking for an alternative to the usual brochure with photos of posing models, trying to seem “authentically relaxed and on holiday”. So I thought a podcast might be the most suitable idea, especially because in this way you have to imagine, to visualise UMAMMA and fully activate your imagination. So I created a sensory catalogue without any images. Audio only. The digital catalogue is a Podcast of 4 episodes on Spotify.”
The PODCAST, read entirely by a female voice, will follow the typical audio format of relaxation trainings, including the use of a binaural musical arrangement. Those who listen to it will take part in a real meditation session, and at the same time “wander” through the evocative spaces of the property. The effect on the listener is unexpected like UMAMMA itself!
Now, close your eyes. There are no photographs to look at. Enjoy this journey of the senses, let yourself be carried away by your subconscious and discover unique spaces. Welcome to UMAMMA.
