The holiday house mavie on the Greek island of Lefkada evokes associations with an elegant ocean liner. The building consists of several cubes arranged in a row, and a slightly twisted cuboid structure stacked above them.

You enter the house on the upper level, which is glazed on three sides and resembles a command bridge. From the living room with a sitting area, kitchen and dining area, you can enjoy views of the Ionian Sea, the city of Lefkada, and the mainland. The colours of the furnishings refer to the blue of the water and sky, and the green of the cypresses and pines. A spiral staircase leads to the lower level, where there is another living area as well as four bedrooms (each with its own bathroom). These are housed within cubes and are connected via a long corridor, which follows the sloped topography of the site with a slight curvature. It is lit through windows to the outside between each cube. In front of the bedrooms, which all have sea views, there is an open portico and a terrace with a 20-metre infinity pool.

Thanks to its hillside location and shading and ventilation facilities, mavie does not require air conditioning in summer. In winter, underfloor heating provides warmth.

Beaches, windsurfing and kitesurfing, a marina in the town of Lefkada, hiking, cycling, visiting the surrounding mountain villages. The island is connected to the mainland via a swing bridge.
