Far away from the hustle and bustle! This holiday home can be found in a secluded spot in the unspoiled countryside of the Finnish region of Karelia: in the middle of a forest and directly by lake Santara. The property consists of a residential house and sauna connected by a terrace. Thanks to their elevated position, both the house and sauna offer beautiful, wide views of the lake.
The building was mainly constructed of timber from trees that grew on the property. With its black colour, it seems to fuse with the surroundings and when the shutters are closed it has a barn-like character. In contrast to its dark façade, the interior space is bright and friendly. The floor plan is open, but the bedrooms (with a double bed and a high bed) can be separated with sliding elements. The floors, walls and ceilings are made of wood, but its minimalist interior design lends the house a modern look and feel throughout — far from rustic!
What to do
Fishing, a rowing-boat, blueberry and mushroom picking, relaxing in the sauna, hiking, ice fishing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, etc.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in der vollkommenen Ruhe der Natur- besser kann man sich nicht erholen. Liebevoll eingerichtet- es ist alles da, was man braucht. Nur zu empfehlen.
Kurz vor Mittsommer hatten wir einen sehr geruhsamen Urlaub im Mökki. Wir haben uns gefühlt, als hätten wir den ganzen See für uns. Die Architektur ist zurückhaltend, so dass die Natur in vollen Zügen genossen werden kann. Der Aufenthalt hat neugierig auf einen Urlaub im Winter gemacht, dann kann auch die super Sauna öfter genutzt werden.
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche.
Mökki hat uns super gefallen.

Der Eisbohrer und die Angeln war toll … aber einen Fisch habe ich leider nicht gefangen :-(
Wir waren im tiefsten Winter Gäste im Mökki. Hier trifft eine traumhaft abgelegene Lage auf zauberhafte Winterlandschaft und hervorragende Architektur. Wir waren mit unseren Kindern sehr von dem schönen Haus und der Sauna angetan. Der perfekte Ort zum Ausspannen, sicher nicht nur im Winter.
