Nordstern is situated just 200 metres from the Baltic Sea – in Geltinger Bay, high on the northeastern coast of Schleswig-Holstein. On the site of an old farm, the former stable building from 1740 has been converted into a semi-detached house with two holiday flats. It was extensively renovated, given a wooden facade, and fitted with large panoramic windows that offer views far out over the Baltic coastline.
Nordstern 1 and Nordstern 2 have similar layouts: the ground floor features an open living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area; in the attic there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The interiors contain a combination of modern furniture and vintage pieces and the colour scheme in natural tones ensures a relaxed ambience. On the south-facing terraces and throughout the expansive property, which also includes a small forest, there are many beautiful outdoor seating areas. There is also a barrel sauna with a relaxation area under trees and a panoramic view of the Baltic Sea towards Geltinger Birk. For anyone who wants to sit directly by the water, you can reach the pristine beach in five minutes on foot.
On the property in a grove is a 95 sqm glassed-in meeting room with a direct view of the Baltic Sea, which can be booked for workshops or yoga retreats.
What to do
Beach with a panoramic view towards Denmark, at the beach there is a large table with benches and a view of the sunset; enjoy the surrounding nature (forest, meadow, cornfields, canola fields, moors, and the forest on the property itself), hiking (through the moors, lagoon landscapes of Geltinger Birk, and along the beach), the Baltic Sea cycle route runs directly by the house, kite spots in the immediate vicinity in Habernis, sailing and a marina, surfing and stand-up paddling at the beach. Cooking courses with an Italian cook can be organised on request.

Das Nordstern Ferienhaus ist auf einem traumhaften Grundstück gelegen, überall steckt sehr viel Liebe im Detail. Auch waren wir ganz verzaubert von der Gegend und hatten nicht mit einer derartig vielfältigen Landschaft gerechnet. Der Strand ist in 2 Minuten zu erreichen und war (im Sommer) immer angenehm leer. Man kann gut baden und die Kinder konnten auf dem wunderschönen Grundstück toben und Äpfel und Pflaumen pflücken. Die Sauna war an den kalten Abenden ein absolutes Highlight. Das anscheinend neue Yoga Haus hat einen tollen großen Raum, den wir hoffentlich in Zukunft auch einmal ausprobieren werden.
Wir kommen gerne wieder und danken für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft.
Ein schönes Haus, liebevoll eingerichtet, mit einem weitläufigen Garten. Morgens konnte man die Sonne über der Ostsee aufgehen sehen, während Rehe durch den Garten liefen.
Wir durften reichlich Äpfel pflücken, für unsere Stadtkinder ein Ereignis.
Der kurze Weg zum Strand und zum Spielplatz (mit Ostsee-Panorama) waren toll, auch finden sich viele schöne Ausflugsziele in der Nähe.
