Small bays, white sandy beaches, sophisticated Art Nouveau buildings – in the charming seaside town of Castiglioncello, where artists and actors were once inspired by the beauty of the Etruscan coast, Villa Sorriso lies amidst the lush greenery and looks far across the Tyrrhenian Sea. A holiday home for up to 12 guests that combines modern design with classic furnishings. The fact that the villa is also called the “House of Reflection” is not only due to the endless views, including a colour spectacle at sunset, but also because the interior opens up to bright rooms in pastel colours that atmospherically set off the Mediterranean light.
The division into four double and four single rooms – all in classic simplicity, pale colours and with en-suite bathrooms – is suitable for families and friends as well as for retreats or workshops. The centrepiece of the house is the typical Tuscan cuisine, which offers one of the most beautiful vistas. For the tavolata, head outdoors, where not only shady pine trees await, but also two large tables and plenty of favourite spots to read, sleep, sip a glass of wine and let your eyes wander. Those who also want to keep moving can stretch on the yoga terrace, take a few laps in the pool or stroll through the spacious garden among trees, bushes, herbs and cacti. In other words, plenty of good prospects for relaxing days.
