The “Sauerlandbleibe” in the half-timbered village of Bödefeld proves that a group house can be stylish. The 200 year old farm house with room for up to 26 people is suitable as holiday accommodation or for conferences. Historic features such as original beams and exposed stonework provide plenty of charm, modern facilities add contemporary comfort. The house has a large kitchen, a dining room with fireplace and another group room under the roof, modern bathrooms and a sauna. The guest rooms (5 double rooms and 4 quadruple) are individually designed. Just behind the large garden – with an orchard, barbecue and pool – there are several hiking trails and a toboggan slope.
What to do
In the winter: slope for sledging right behind the house, in Bödefeld is the Sauerland’s longest ski run and cross-country ski runs.
In the summer: outdoor pool, large garden with swing and sandbox.
The Fort Fun Leisure Park is a 10-minute drive away. In Winterberg (15 minutes) there are riding facilities, a high rope garden, a panoramic bridge as well as a summer toboggan run. Three golf courses can be reached within 15 minutes, biathlon taster course.
