The old half-timbered house that has been lovingly restored and converted into a holiday house is idyllically situated in the historic town of Monschau. Dry stone walls, old beams as well as doors and rare frames from 17th Century were restored, the old floorboards were polished and lacquered and the original windows remolded. New additions are the bathrooms and the kitchen. The furnishing was partly designed by the owner herself and custom-made for the interiors. White and natural shades dominate the airy rooms. The center of the house is the generous live-in-kitchen, which conveys the impression that the sun is always shining. Bright, timeless-modern furniture, antique individual items from the family and findings from the flea market for a successful combination. The river Rur flows behind the house. You can enjoy the sound of the river on the large balcony or – if you step through the basement window – from a seat at the waterfront. And with a little luck you can catch your dinner here, as fly fishing is possible!

Wenn man sich die Fotos anschaut, könnte man meinen, dass, wie so oft ein guter Fotograf am Werk war, aber selbst mit einer Handkamera und begrenzter Fotografiekompetenz kann man nur tolle Eindrücke einfangen, weil das ganze Haus wirklich wunderschön ist! Mit viel Liebe zum Detail wurde wirklich alles perfekt restauriert und man mag eigentlich gar nicht mehr abreisen.

Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Wochenende im Tuchmacherhaus. Toll ausgestattet ist die Bleibe, wir waren wunschlos glücklich. Das Haus ist super gelegen und ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ins sehr sehenswerte Aachen und Maastricht.

Das Tuchmacherhaus ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Es wurde liebevoll und stilsicher restauriert und eingerichtet Es bietet jeglichen Komfort, den man sich in einem Ferienhaus wünscht. Es liegt absolut zentral, und man kann direkt vom Haus aus herrliche Wanderungen unternehmen. Auf der Terrasse frühstückt man, begleitet vom leisen Rauschen der Rur und einem wunderbaren Ausblick. Auch den Abend kann man dort gemütlich ausklingen lassen. Es waren sehr entspannte und wunderbare Tage für uns.

Waren geschäftlich für drei Nächte im Tuchmacherhaus. Haben uns dort sofort sehr wohlgefühlt. Statt TV zu sehen, haben wir uns lieber dieses stilvolle und mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet Haus angesehen und die Atmosphäre genossen. Zum Frühstücken auf der überdachten Terrasse mit einem Kaffee sitzen und dabei den schönen Fluss (Rur) beobachten, bedeutet pure Lebensqualität. Leider war es abends noch zu kalt, um auf der traumhaften Terrasse einen Wein zu trinken. Im Sommer ist das bestimmt ein weiteres Highlight.
Die Zimmer waren alle sehr schön hell und hatten eine perfekte Größe.
Der Kontakt mit Frau Nuxoll-Oster war ebenfalls perfekt. Das Haus und die Vermieter kann man uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
