Gut Sonnenhausen near Munich pulls out pretty much all the stops when it comes to bringing people together in a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere. The listed estate was commissioned as a stud farm in 1900 by Baron von Büsing-Orville to the Munich star architect of the time, Wilhelm Spannagel.
Surrounded by lush gardens, old trees and situated in a secluded location with stunning views in a forest clearing, Sonnenhausen delights its guests with plenty of open space, fresh, organic cuisine and a sustainable concept that is deeply rooted in the company’s history.
The house lives art and culture in all its facets and is, as host Georg Schweisfurth puts it, ‘a place to celebrate life, broaden the horizon of thought and appreciate the fullness of the moment.’
In terms of event organisation, almost anything is possible here and finds the right space to unfold: whether in the chapel hall with its historic wooden floor and high double doors, in the art-inspired ‘Freiraum’, in the light-filled Atelier, in the fireplace room, bay window room and garden room, in the imposing riding hall, the cooking stables or the Farmer’s Club.
