The Heustodl at the Taxhof offers an unusual architectural experience. From the outside it looks as if three classic haystacks have grown together. Inside, however, guests find a continuous space that flows down the slope. A new building – painted black on the outside – has been inserted into the wooden shell of the old barn. This 60 square metre one-room house is divided into three levels that can be experienced in different ways. Each level is designed for a different use (living, eating, sleeping) and has its own orientation and individual view through a large window opening. The different shape of the inside of the roof supports this effect.
In addition to the levels, it is mainly the material wood that determines the impression of the room. From floor to ceiling, all surfaces is the Heustodl are made of wood, interrupted only where functional aspects make it necessary. A special feature is the bathtub: It´s situated between the double bed and panoramic window, inviting you to take a relaxing bath and to enjoy the view of the Hohe Tauern.

Liebes Urlaubsarchitektur-Team, liebe Familie Unterberger vom Taxhof,
Superb!
