Family owned for over 100 years, Hotel Hinteregger has been remodeled and enlarged over several generations. Now you will find modern architecture next to historic cross vaults and a traditional farmhouse parlor. The old hotel was connected to the neighbouring village cinema. The movie theater was then extended in height and width, and enclosed in a wood and glass shell. The former exterior wall of the cinema was plastered with clay, and now serves as an oversized in-room wall heater. The wellness area in the new wing echoes the classical elements: stone, clay, wood and water. Instead of films you can now watch a “landscape movie“ through broad windows: the lead actor is the mountain crest “Tauernhauptkamm”.
Ten years after the first annex was completed, five rooms in the old building were redesigned and enlarged by a conservatory-like extension. Its ornamental, white-coated metal cladding connects the side wooden facade with the plastered street side and sets an interesting design accent. The refurbished rooms have been fitted with glass-walled wet cells. The beds are placed in the extension. Small, with stone pine wood clad separees are retreats within the rooms.
