Spacious holiday home in a wide landscape! Fjorde Sieseby on the edge of the picturesque village of Sieseby on the Schlei is a former farm, which has been converted into a holiday resort with three lodges and a landscape park. One of these lodges is the 240-square-metre Tenne in the renovated and converted old barn. The lodge Tenne has wood-panelled façades and a large loggia with striking wooden pillars underneath the roof. Inside, the wooden beamed ceilings and the spaciousness of the rooms are reminiscent of the former use of the building; otherwise, the ambience is modern, elegant and urban rather than rural. Here you not only spend your holiday among design classics but also surrounded by many works of art in rooms furnished with a courageous use of colours.
The communicative centre is the 60-square-metre living area on the ground floor, which with a kitchen for ambitious chefs, a long dining table and a sitting area offers plenty of space for social activities. Upstairs, an additional living room with fireplace and three bedrooms with box-spring beds provide places to retreat to. All rooms open to the outside with large windows: onto the wooden terraces on the ground floor or the surrounding loggia on the upper floor, which feels like an outdoor living room. Sheltered by the barn roof, one can take a seat and enjoy the sweeping view of the typical Schleswig-Holstein landscape.
What to do
Cycling, sailing, canoeing (jetty 600 metres away), fishing, hiking, golf, museum visits, concerts. Excursions to the Baltic Sea, day trips to Flensburg, Eckernförde, Schleswig or the Danish South Sea.
Why we like this house
