The Nudelfabrik in Zeitz, located between Jena and Leipzig, is a venue for seminars, workshops and exhibitions – as well as a meeting place for artists, start-ups and co-workers. Since 2017, Birgit and Mathias Mahnke have been developing the site of the former pasta factory, which was built at the beginning of the 19th century, into a working space for creative people. Currently, 2,000 of the 10,000 square metres of space can be used. There is a large, shared kitchen, a green inner courtyard, a yoga area and various spaces for exhibitions or co-working. The charm of the former industrial site permeates the entire building: unrendered walls, exposed wiring, unfinished factory floors, open floor plans and large windows combined with casual interiors – a mix of mid-century armchairs, oriental carpets and modern individual pieces – lend the rooms a distinctive character. For anyone looking for a special venue and a creative ambience.
