Located directly on the market square of the medieval town of Berching on the banks of the Main-Danube Canal, the Engelwirt is not only a refuge for anyone interested in art, design and architecture, but also a special place to meet, celebrate and work. In the ensemble consisting of two baroque monuments from 1686 – the bailiff’s residence and servants’ quarters – and two new buildings, historical elements such as stucco ceilings, inlay work, rose pointed arches and antique furniture meet modern art and colourful design.
The salon, dining room and kitchen form an open-plan concept that is ideal for events – from creative workshops to private celebrations and cooking classes, everything is possible. Some of the 15 holiday apartements of different sizes can also be rented for events and long-stay workations.
The daytime café with breakfast parlour ensures the guests’ culinary well-being, while in the warmer months the Mediterranean courtyard becomes an idyllic venue for celebrations of all kinds.
