Back to the basics! The Hermitage Sykaminea is a natural retreat nestled against the highest mountain of the island of Lesvos, overlooking the Mediterranean. Three buildings and a large pergola form a modern ensemble designed to echo the architecture of traditional agricultural warehouses. Owner and architect Andreas Sell has created a place for workshops and team meetings with a unique experience of nature and living. The 15-metre-long roofed pergola in the midst of an olive grove serves as a central and open meeting place. Four double rooms in two wooden houses and a stone bathhouse provide space for up to eight people. The usual level of living comfort must be worked for here: water is partially brought in and taken out, and a solar system provides electricity and hot water for showers.
Hermitage Sykaminea is only available for rent from spring to autumn.
