At the foothills of the Chiemgau Alps — between Munich and Salzburg — the Wandl nestles peacefully against the Unternberg in Ruhpolding. The listed Traunstein mountain house dating back to 1740 was carefully modernised between 2020 and 2023. The result is an exciting venue for conferences, retreats, celebrations and weddings with a truly unique character. It also features a farm, carpentry workshop, podcast studio and innovation hub.

The former stable now houses a spacious conference room with modern technology, a professional sound system and fast internet. The space is complemented by an exceptionally well-stocked gin bar with lounge and fireplace. Barista and gin tasting programmes enhance the enjoyment.
Ten individually designed guest rooms are available for overnight stays — four singles and six doubles. All rooms combine natural materials such as reclaimed wood and lime plaster with smart comfort, high-quality mattresses made from coconut and cactus and a sophisticated room design. A private sauna with panoramic views and the fitness studio round off the experience at the Wandl. Hosts Monika and Curt Simon Harlinghausen create an open-minded and authentic setting for inspired and laid-back work and leisure events.
