Shaping the future together – that is the motto of Bettina and Markus Kratz, who conceived and created the event location ‘cokon’ together. With this in mind, cokon is not designed as a ready-made space, but as a creative hub for trying out new things with others.
At the centre of the space is the loft: a curated showroom with modern furniture and materials, flexibly designed to create an open and inspiring atmosphere. It is a place that functions as an exhibition space, design and material library, meeting and event space, think tank and knowledge workshop. An adjoining kitchen with a long table invites you to cook together and exchange ideas. The facilities are complemented by the dock, an area for concentrated work phases and a gallery with a chill-out zone for creative breaks.
With masterclasses, team events and workshops at cokon, Bettina and Markus Kratz bring together a variety of urban stakeholders who care about sustainability – from architecture, manufacturing, design, energy consulting, politics, finance and anyone interested in the further development of urban society.
The cokon is therefore an event venue that aims to help create a network that doesn’t ask: “What’s in it for me?”, but: “What can we change together?”
