This was the best holiday for my eyes ever! Finally the eyes of the architect could rest. Very well done details, built in furnitures, great selection of lamps and antiques. I honestly loved everything about it. Great design, delicious food, beautiful hikes. I would love to go back with all my architect friends.

We spent a peaceful week during the quieter month of October and absolutely fell in love with the house and surrounding beaches. The house is beautifully appointed, with thoughtfully curated furnishings and artwork. We loved the layout, the large deck and the pool in the roof. Our check in was seamless, and we enjoyed the personal touch of being shown around by the owners. The kitchen was splendid, with everything we needed (and more). Beautiful towels, linen and even a mid-week cleaner to freshen things up. It was hard to leave at the end of the week! Thank you Andre for the perfect stay.

En arrivant sur le mont Gerbino, on découvre le CAPO ZAFERANO, magique montagne qui émerge de l’eau pour fermer le golfe de Palerme.

Entrer dans la maison par cette passerelle qui a tout d’un bateau. C’est un moment rare.

Tout est merveilleux dans cette maison, la terrasse qui est toujours à l’ombre, permet de déjeuner et dîner face à la mer, celle du dessous qui est toujours ensoleillé permet de se réchauffer au rayon du soleil. L’intérieur est meublé avec une élégance authentique, des œuvres qui restent dans la mémoire et un confort idéal.

Descendre se baigner dans la crique privée est une promenade de charme au travers de la végétation.

La Roche est travaillée pour accueillir un farniente inoubliable.

Entrer dans l’eau et le plus simple des bonheurs.

Une fois qu’on est à la villa, on a plus envie de bouger, on se sent arrivé quelque part, quelque part propre à l’arrêt, à la contemplation au plaisir et au charme.

Chacune des quatre chambres doubles à son caractère et permet de s’isoler. S’endormir au son de l’eau est un rêve.

Tout est cohérent et évident dans cette maison, sa forme, sa structure, ses espaces son rapport à la mer à la terre et au CAPO ZAFERRANO.

C’est une maison dans laquelle on entre, qu’on traverse que l’on contourne qu’on gravi qu’on domine, qui nous protège et nous accueille, une maison qui s’offre à chaque coin d’une vue d’un banc d’une terrasse.

Son architecture est évidente, offert a la vie ouverte à la mer, baignée de nature, profondément ancrée dans son lieu. Elle a été construite pour vivre en harmonie avec son environnement par Armando, le père de Giacomo.

Giacomo est l’artisan d’un séjour inoubliable par sa gentillesse, ses conseils son écoute, l’amour qu’il porte à cette maison, lui même Architecte talentueux à lui seul les mots qui conviennent pour décrire ce lieu. Et sa transmission pour un séjour est un véritable cadeau du cœur.

C’est une maison pour vivre.

Nous sommes venus passer des étés merveilleux, chaque arrivée représente un moment de joie intense, le temps s’arrête pour devenir plaisir contemplation et calme. Chaque départ fait la promesse d’un retour, et ce depuis de nombreuses années. Giacomo est devenu un ami de cœur, sa maison un refuge précieux et la promesse d’un bonheur à retrouver…

I’m not sure how to express how much we absolutely loved the experience we had staying at the Capo Zafferano Villa but it was truly wonderful and peaceful. The view was the entire reason for booking this property and it definitely did not disappoint. Stunning!! If we did nothing else on holiday, it was to soak in the view…everyday. Giacomo was the best host, so kind and so intent that our stay was perfect. I know we will be back…I can’t imagine going back to Sicily and not staying at this villa.

Unsere zwei Wochen im Melagrana – ein Ort zum Ankommen und Durchatmen

Im September 2025 durften wir zwei wundervolle Wochen im Melagrana verbringen, ein Aufenthalt, den man nicht mehr vergisst. Die Architektur des Hauses schafft eine perfekte Balance zwischen einer unkonventionellen Bauweise und natürlicher Geborgenheit. Auf den ersten Blick scheint dieser Spagat nicht möglich, gelingt jedoch. Überall spürt man die Verbundenheit mit der Natur, die bodenhohen Fenster oder gläsernen Eingangstüren, in den Materialien, den offenen Räumen und dem sanften Spiel von Licht und Schatten.

Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Ruhe und Alleinlage des Hauses, die einen sofort entschleunigt. Man ist ganz für sich, und doch fühlt man sich umsorgt – dank der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft von Frederica und Pippo, die jede Begegnung mit Wärme und Aufmerksamkeit erfüllt.

Das Melagrana ist weit mehr als eine Unterkunft- es ist ein Ort des Innehaltens, der Inspiration und des Wohlgefühls. Wir werden die Zeit dort in kostbarer Erinnerung behalten und kommen ganz sicher wieder.

We absolutely loved it!

I can’t recommend Rooms and Blooms in Kapernacker enough! The flower farm is absolutely breathtaking, and there’s nothing more peaceful than waking up surrounded by the scent of fresh blossoms. The house itself is warm, inviting, and perfectly sized for a family— a true countryside haven.

We had five lovely days at Johannes Neun, a great place for architecture-lovers. The stain-glass windows give a special feeling to the space and when the sun shines the colours reflect beautifully on the walls of the wooden cube, in which the comfy bedrooms are situated. After long walks around the lake and in the woods we were happy to return to what we called ‘our own cosy little church’.

La Mugletta is such a beautiful place, hosted by beautiful people! The elegant, peaceful setting, truly outstanding breakfast, and of course Ulla’s amazing pottery all make for a very special stay. We highly recommend.

Glückwunsch zur perfekt gelungenen Restaurierung des historischen Schwarzwaldhofes. Wir hatten den Fusenhof für ein verlängertes Familienwochenende gebucht und waren restlos begeistert. Niemand wollte abreisen. Ein besseres Kompliment kann einer Unterkunft kaum gemacht werden!

Wir waren Anfang Oktober für eine Woche zu viert im yellow house (nebst Nebengebäuden) und hatten eine wundervolle Zeit. Das ganze Ambiente in der außergewöhnlichen Anlage ist unbeschreiblich schön. Neben den sehr geschmackvoll, hochwertig und sehr individuell eingerichteten Häusern, in denen es an NICHTS fehlt sind auch die Außenanlagen wunderschön gestaltet. Besonderen fiel uns auf, dass es mehrere gemütliche Sitzgruppen im Aussenbereich gibt, die alle über hochwertige Sonnenschirme verfügen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Lage der Häuser ist sehr gut. Die Städtchen und Strände der Südküste und Westküste sind gut erreichbar. Ein besonderer Tipp der Gastgeber war der traumhafte Stand von Odeceixe (knappe Stunde Fahrt). Check in und Check out sowie Betreuung durch Marie-Anne, die Hausmanagerin vor Ort, waren top. Auch in Bezug auf Ausstattung und Sauberkeit der Wohnungen war alles perfekt. Auch wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen Haus unseren ersten Urlaub als kleine Familie verbracht. Wir sind schon viel gereist in unserem Leben, aber diese Unterkunft war mit Abstand eine der magischsten.

Man kann hier kaum noch von Architektur sprechen, es ist vielmehr Kunst eingebettet in die Natur. Jedes Möbelstück, alle Materialien, jeder Fensterausblick sind unbeschreiblich schön und man merkt, wie viel Liebe zum Detail darin steckt und wie gut alles durchdacht wurde.

Der Strand ist fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreicht und überall gibt es Tiere zu entdecken.

Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen!

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche in der Villa Francioli verbracht. Die Villa ist ausgesprochen geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sind fantastisch bequem. Die Küche verführt zum Kochen – und die Siebträgermaschine war die Wucht. Es war eine Freude, morgens aufzustehen, sich einen Kaffee zu ziehen und sich an einem der vielen Plätze im Haus oder am Haus zurückzuziehen und zu lesen oder einfach nur die Aussicht zu genießen. Sehr erholsam für uns alle ;). Vielen Dank liebe Frau Grau für die schöne Zeit in Ihrer Villa und Gratulation für die gelungene Renovierung und Einrichtung. wir kommen gerne wieder.

Our week at Maison 10étangs was simply wonderful. A true hidden gem. The property is huge and impressive – with 10 ponds, some of which are very large, giving the place a very special atmosphere. Pure nature everywhere.

The house itself is comfortable, modern and cosy at the same time – ideal for a group. We particularly remember cooking almost every meal on the fire ring, which is just perfect for convivial evenings in this setting.

Another highlight was the openness and hospitality of the owners – you not only feel welcome, but truly invited to enjoy the place in your own way.

If you are looking for plenty of space, peace and quiet, nature and comfort at the same time, you will be happy here. For us, it was the perfect mix of relaxation, community and little adventures – we would love to come back! So please, never book this house. We would be very disappointed if the house were already fully booked when we wanted to come back;-)!

Im August haben wir eine wundervolle Woche in einem der drei stilvoll gestalteten Appartements der Saftstation verbracht. Dieser besondere Ort strahlt eine stille, zeitlose Schönheit aus – eingebettet in die Natur, mit einer fast meditativen Atmosphäre.

Die Einrichtung ist bewusst reduziert, dabei äußerst geschmackvoll und hochwertig – mit feinen Materialien, bequemen Betten und liebevollen Details. Morgens duftet es nach Linden, und frische Brombeeren lassen sich direkt fürs Frühstück pflücken.

Die Gastgeber sind herzlich, unkompliziert und aufmerksam – ihre Handschrift als Architekt und Grafikerin prägt das Haus auf sehr persönliche und inspirierende Weise.

Die Umgebung bietet viele schöne Entdeckungen – und wer zwischendurch etwas Stadtluft schnuppern möchte, ist schnell in Kopenhagen.

Ein Ort voller Ruhe und Charakter, den wir sehr empfehlen und gerne im Herzen behalten.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at this beautiful house in Comporta. The architecture is absolutely stunning. The house is modern, elegant, and perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings. Every detail of the design reflects quality and care, making the home both stylish and comfortable.

One of the highlights is its unbeatable location: just a very short walk to Pego Beach, one of the most beautiful and relaxing spots in the area. It made our days feel effortlessly serene, with the beach right at our doorstep.

We were also warmly welcomed by the owner, André, who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. His hospitality was exceptional and greatly enhanced our experience.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish retreat by the sea.

As an architect, it was a pleasure to stay in a carefully designed holiday home like Quinta Da Lila. The house, its surroundings and the wider environment have resulted in an inspiring yet relaxing holiday ;)

the fantastic design and attention to detail, the chosen furniture pieces, the artwork, even the candles => it gives the house a personality and definitely distinguishes this place from all typical second residences available for rent during summer

the magnificent sound system which we enjoyed during the colder evenings while reading a book in the cosy living area; the fresh fruits we could go and grab in the surrounding trees; the different lighting sources for inside and outside, such that we could adjust the light to the desired mood; the fully equipped kitchen, which provided all necessary tools and features we could wish for, and last but not least: the very comfortable beds

Congratulations to the owners, local house manager and cleaning staff to guide us and welcome us in an impeccable house we would definitely recommend to family & friends!

Lovely accommodation in a great location, near the public swimming pool of Mellau, near the mountain lift and near the local restaurants and supermarket. We stayed with our two young children and barely needed to use our car.

The house was very clean, well equipped and luxury standard. In bad weather the covered terrace is an extreme advantage, we have sat outside for breakfast and dinner every day (we did not have the best weather sadly during our stay). Also spotted deers more than once passing through the garden :-)

I also came for cycling and I was very happy with the separate and locked storage room next to the terrace to store my racebike and equipment.

The hosts are very friendly, caring and easily accessible for questions.

We have been searching for the perfect holiday home in Liguria and Tuscany for some years now, and we finally found it this year when we stayed a week at Villa Sorriso. The house is perched on a rocky hill very close to the water. It has been gently renovated, and you can sense that this is a true family home—not just a rental property.

We were a family of eight, including a two-year-old child, and the house was perfect for a family getaway. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and the gas barbecue outside was used frequently. The house is within walking distance of Castiglioncello, an authentic seaside village mainly visited by Italian tourists and locals. This creates a very charming and relaxed atmosphere.

We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Villa Sorriso to anyone seeking Italian beauty and authenticity.

We had a fantastic experience staying at this beautiful house in an absolutely stunning location. The architecture and design of the villa are truly unique – modern yet perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings, with breathtaking views of the sea. We stayed here for a photoshoot, and the setting could not have been more ideal. The light, layout, and ambiance of the space all contributed to a great result.

The host, Giacomo, was also a real pleasure to deal with – friendly, responsive, and very helpful throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and offered great local tips as well. If you’re looking for a special place to stay that combines elegance, tranquility, and character, this villa is a great choice.

We had a wonderful holiday in Menzenschwand. The house is an architectural gem. It is very spacious and light, the terrace has a fantastic view of the valley, the kitchen is well equipped and everything is at hand. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are beautifully finished and practical. In the surrounding area, you can go for beautiful walks, swim in the spa and play tennis at the local tennis club. The bakery in the village can deliver to your door ;-) We will definitely be back!

From the hill, we look down on the village. We can easily spot our holiday destination. It has the proportions and appearance of a late medieval church. A bit mysterious. The first floor is entirely ours. Of the six beds, we leave four unoccupied. The route from the living room to the kitchen feels like a stroll, a jaunt under beautiful vaulted ceilings. I say to my partner: see you later! The living room is the most comfortable place in the house, with a remarkable amount of light coming through the seemingly modest windows. With the renovation and repurposing of the Scarpatetti house, the initiators have shown vision and courage.

Wir haben das Fränkische Freilichtmuseum besucht: Zur perfekten Einstimmung auf unserer Kurzreise haben wir zu dritt im entzückend renovierten Ickelhaus 2 mit seinem großzügigen Garten gewohnt, die gelungene Kombination aus orginalgetreuer Einrichtung und modernem Konfort – als hätten wir im Museum selbst gelebt! Nicht zu vergessen der freundliche Empfang, die perfekte Ausstattung in Bad und Küche und die Sauberkeit.

Wir hatten sehr schöne Sommerferien im Palazzo Marconi. Angefangen mit einer äusserst angenehmen Empfang, guten Tipps für Restaurants, Bagnos, einer wirklich schönen Wohnung mit wunderschöner Architektur, guter Klimaanlage sodass wir gut geschlafen haben, gut ausgestatteter Küche, dem soeben fertiggestellten Pool und im Allgemeinen wunderschöner Terrasse. Die Lage ist mittig, sodass das Meer zu allen Seiten hin in guter Zeit erreichbar ist. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch die Freundlichkeit der Menschen im Salento, die tolle Bäckerei und der super Fischladen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Gerne wieder!

Wir sind Wiederholungstäter und endlich hatte es geklappt – mit etwas Vorlauf konnten wir das Zeitfenster buchen und haben uns schon lange vorher sehr auf diesen Urlaub gefreut, denn wir wussten ja, was uns erwarten würde. Und es war wieder einfach traumhaft!!!

Den anderen Beschreibungen bezüglich Architektur, Lage und Ausstattung ist wirklich nichts hinzuzufügen. Ein traumhafter Ort!

Wir empfanden die Spaziergänger auf dem Deich auch eher berreichernd, fühlt man sich doch so wie in einem Theather und bhat so immer den besten Blick auf die Bühne.

Das Wetter hatte – typisch dänischer Sommer – alles zu bieten aber das war an diesem Ort absolut kein Problem. Wer Ruhe sucht und endlose Spaziergänge in der Natur und am Strand mag, der ist hier genau richtig!

Unser persönlicher Favorit ist die Außendusche, die einem zu jeder Tageszeit den direkten Kontakt zur Natur beschert.

We were in Casa do Pego in late May-June. This was our second time. In this European paradise – Comporta – Casa do Pego is a jewel. For its location, integrated into nature and very close to the beach, the house is unbeatable. Beautifully designed, tastefully furnished and very functional. The owner, André, is always available to give advice when needed. We believe that one cannot have it much better than that. We look forward to our next holiday in Comporta, where one finds some of Portugal’s best restaurants and a unique and stunning nature!

A heaven of peace with minimal design rooms and beautiful views. The house is very comfortable whether we were inside or outside, by the pool. Our host, Gianluca, was very kind, he made us feel at home.

The area around Noto is beautiful with so many things to do.

We stayed for 8 days and were upset we couldn’t book it for a longer period. We are looking forward to be back.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Klara flat. The contemporary construction respects the tradition of this purely Bavarian locality, with its church boasting a bulbous bell tower, farmhouses, and a charming square with a fountain. Great care has been taken in the choice of furniture and fittings, and the facilities are very good. The coffee machine deserves a special mention — it’s so beautiful that you don’t dare use it! There is also a lovely sauna in the garden.

Our hosts Anna and Matthias provided a very warm and attentive welcome.

In short, it’s an excellent base for exploring this beautiful region, which is rich in monuments (notably Linderhof Castle and Wies Church), lakes (including the famous Eibsee and the chic Tegernsee) and stunning landscapes.

La Melagrana verzaubert. Eingebettet in die schöne Landschaft mit Oliven-, Zitronen-, Orangen- und Mandelbäumen. Man ist ganz für sich, hat aber doch nicht weit nach Noto oder an die schönen Strände im Naturschutzgebiet Vendacari. Mit dem herrlichen Pool kann man ganz entspannt den Tag verbringen. Ein wunderschönes Urlaubsziel. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

10ètangs is paradise! We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have wished for more. The house’s architecture is stunning. It’s already a real pleasure to just sit and enjoy the house and its great views from all angles. But this is not all, 10ètangs is perfectly equipped with cooking equipment, life-vests, SUP, hot tub, wood fire grill a wonderful swimming pond to name a few. It’s an incredibly peaceful place. Great for relaxing, charging one’s batteries while eating delicious food from the local bakers, butchers and markets.

Anne and Jean-Luc are fantastic hosts and our children felt very welcome, too. All our thanks go to them and we would definitely love to visit again.

From the original design concept to the final execution of the works, the creative re-purposing of Wachter has clearly benefitted from superb attention to detail. While compact, it provides the perfect balance of relaxed intimacy and a feeling of space, yet at no stage has design been allowed to usurp function. The views afforded by the great location in the wonderful city of Harlingen and the close proximity of excellent public transport links combine to make Wachter a true haven.

It was a marvelous, special and beautiful location. We enjoyed every minute of it! Also because of Ulla & Eberhard as our hosts. Always there and they gave us very useful information about the surroundings. And everyday a different and delicious breakfast. It is must see!

We had a lovely stay in the beautiful apartments with the lovely hosts. Stayed with two small children and the host happily offered baby bed and chair. Traveled together with friends who had the apartment next to us and it worked great. Sauna room is very nice and in the house every detail down to teabags is well chosen and cared for. We stayed in spring time but I think the place is great all other seasons too. Close to nature and hikes in different difficulties. Recommend!

ein tolles haus für kleine gruppen! was auf den bildern nicht gut rüberkommt, ist die lage: der kleine ort ist sehr nett, vor dem haus ist ein kanal in dem regelmässig kleine boote vorbeifahren, am wasser gibt es einen kleinen garten, wo man sitzen und den booten zusehen kann. hintenraus der blick in die weite des polders. das haus ist super ausgestattet und hat viele überraschende und spannende details!

zwei nächte im ahoy und es war wirklich super! das kleine haus ist detailreich gebaut und hochwertig ausgestattet. unten schlafbereich und bad, oben küche und wohnbereich mit tollem blick auf den hafen und die ein- und ausfahrenden schiffe.

der bahnhof und der anleger für die fähren nach vlieland und terschelling ist gleich nebenan.

harlingen ist eine schöne kleine stadt mit viel geschichte, die häfen sind voll mit alten booten (im sommer auch mit segeljachten), nette kleine läden, restaurants und cafes.

alles sehr zu empfehlen!

Diese Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum. Von Architekten liebevoll an diesen besonderen Ort designed. Sehr hochwertig ausgestattet, privat und ausreichend Platz für 4-6 Leute. Die Sauna ist toll, der Hot-Tub ist einzigartig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Vielen Dank, dass wir in Eurem tollen Haus ein paar Tage geniessen durften

We met Boris Kajmak completely unaware of his project of conceptual revival/re-interpretation of stone houses in his hometown of Novigrad. We became fast friends on the grounds of his unique personality and jumped at the opportunity to visit Novigrad and the houses he re-made, if only for a day. We spent around 24 hours there and had a glimpse and heard a lot about Kuća Kamena and other parts of this ongoing project. But staying in one of the houses and experiencing it first hand truly beats the talk. We stayed the night in Kuća Fotografa (The Photographer’s House) and immediately connected to the place. The first thing that catches attention is the clever and playful zoning of the house. Right from the get go it pulls you in its peculiar diagram which demands certain adjustments to usual routines of moving through and occupying space. The other thing that grabs you is the careful balancing of the traditional building techniques and the logic of modern life, both of which reflect the particularity of a position of a photographer such as Nikica Karavida who lived and worked in a place like Novigrad during the period between two world wars. His photographs arranged throughout the house are not your usual melancholy triggers. They are actual physical remnants of his particular view of the world and his (modern) work as well as his gaze directed at life of his fellow townspeople. Something similar may be said about Kuća Fotografa and Boris Kajmak. His genuine interest and dedication to the material facts of traditional house building are obvious in every detail you can see, touch and use in Kuća Fotografa. But the mission seems to be something else. It may be setting a stage that will help in capturing the wonders of an everyday moment in a carefully lit room, as photographers do. In a nutshell, this remarkable house instantly makes you look at things differently. If it can do so in only a night, I wonder what may be the effects of a longer stay. We will surely be back.

We stayed at La Melagrana in April / May 2025 and had a lovely time. Federica and Danilo were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The house has a unique design which we appreciated, taking advantage of the beautiful landscape. The pool and solarium are a lovely addition which we greatly enjoyed. Noto is an easy drive away and the rest of Sicily’s beautiful southeast corner is all within reach. Highly recommended for those looking for peace and quiet in a unique home in a beautiful setting.

We had the extraordinary pleasure of shooting part of our new feature film at Villa Capo Zafferano in March 2025. This architectural masterpiece overlooking the Capo Zaferrano, on the northern coast of Sicily, was designed by the the Italian architect Armando Barraja as a summer residence for his family in the late 1980s. His son, Giacomo Barraja, also a gifted architect, was the perfect host to us, and a collaborator, ensuring our production ran smoothly, opening up the entire villa, and its surrounds, for our film. He and his beautiful family supported us in every way possible, and we cannot thank them enough. We lived and worked at the villa, and had the most magnificent time. This is the perfect place for a film, fashion shoot, or indeed a Holiday!

We spent a few very nice days in the top apartment here. The communication with Kristin, the owner, was friendly and uncomplicated. As we were travelling by car, a place in a local parking garage was reserved for us, which was superb. The location of the building is very good, in a quiet area of Cologne, but still very close to all attractions on the city. We certainly recommend this place! Thank you, statthaus team!

Less than half an hour from the vibrant Barcelona city centre lies Paul’s Pearl: a modernist play of lines beneath a sizzling sky. Cool inside, sultry outside. If the light breeze doesn’t bring relief, a drink from the fridge or a dip in the pool surely will. Does the earth really turn a few seconds slower here? It certainly feels that way. Here, you’ll find the best of both worlds – a retreat at a lofty height.

Woke up with the sun stretching over the peaks—perfect spot for a solid rooftop stretch session. A quick plunge in the pool, green mountain views in every direction. Breakfast hits different on the balcony of this architectural gem. From here, the day’s wide open. Relax with a book or hit the trail? Catch some waves or dive into Barcelona’s buzz just half an hour away. Whatever the call, this hilltop base has it all.

We visited La Mugetta in March 2025 and stayed 3 nights. We were blown away by the beauty of the property and the generosity of the hosts.

I highly recommend trying their Apero-Cena dinner… both Ulla and Eberhard curated an incredible meal for us, and it was a perfect way to enter the area and their B&B after a long flight.

We had an interest in Cheese and they helped arrange a very memorable tasting at a nearby creamery. And both Ulla and Eberhard spent so much time over email, helping us with recommendations to make our trip truly memorable. Breakfast was also memorable…. I miss it! I love how the eggs come from their chicken, served on plates Ulla makes….. honey is also from the property along with vegetables and fruits – the sustainability element is so special.

We also took advantage of their special spa downstairs – which was such an added bonus to everything else. Lastly our daughter fell in love with their donkeys – so much we are starting to look into how to get donkeys on our property.

La Mugletta is special, because Ulla and Eberhard are special. And we can’t wait to visit this incredible place again in the future.

The stay at the Barcelona Sanctuary was simply unforgettable. The villa is stunning — modern yet serene, with incredible views and direct access to nature. Every space is beautifully designed and perfectly equipped. An ideal escape — peaceful, inspiring, and only a short drive from the buzz of Barcelona.

Peace, quiet, pine trees and a marvellous garden surrounding an astonishing pool. This fantastic modern house has everything you’d ever ask for. Go for a beautiful walk on the top of the hill or descend to the lovely village at the foot of the hill. Or stroll through Barcelona’s lively streets, and then come back to the tranquility of this gem of a house. Privacy and modern comfort guaranteed. Would highly recommend.
